Training Philosophy

Heather Cameron is a Certified Professional Trainer and graduate of the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers. She completed the Master Trainer Course and was certified in Basic and Advanced Obedience, Tracking, Retrieval, Utility, Personal Protection, Puppy Development, Breed Identification, and Assistance Training. She attended the Chicago Dog Trainer School where she was certified a Force Free Trainer, and furthers her education whenever possible by attending seminars and workshops. She's a member of the National K-9 Dog Trainer Association, the International Association of Canine Professionals, the BBB, and is an evaluator for the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Test. Her mission is that every dog owner will better understand and communicate with their dog. Her methods of training work with how dogs think naturally, and assures that behavioral problems will never come between you and your furry companion.

Force Free Training

Force Free Training is gentle, effective remote collar training. The method works quickly to calm your dog and taps into their natural pack instincts. The dog will be taught to see you as the leader and you will be taught how to use proper body language to communicate to your dog. This method works to improve the relationship between you and your dog. Forceful ways don't need to be used, and FFT works with practically all dogs! Most people want their dogs to behave well when they have guests, walk nicely while on a leash, come when they are called, sit until released, not jump on counters and people, and not lunge at other dogs. Imagine having a stronger relationship with your dog while they are behaving better, too!
